Carbon fibre reinforcement for bridges

Carbon fibre reinforcement for bridges represents a significant advancement in civil engineering and infrastructure enhancement. Unlike traditional materials such as steel, carbon fibre is both lightweight and extraordinarily strong, lending itself well to bridge reinforcement. Carbon fibre-reinforced polymer (CFRP) is resistant to corrosion and offers superior tensile strength, making it ideal for extending the lifespan of ageing bridges and for the construction of new, more resilient structures.

Slabtec Victoria recently completed a bridge-strengthening project for a valued client.

Sika BC12 Carbon Fibre Rods were installed to upgrade the existing bridge and strengthen it for future works. Well done to the Victorian crew for getting this job completed at night due to the time restraints of the bridge closure.
