Slabtec is on-site in Dublin, installing Sika Carbodur BC10 CFRP rods as a lightweight and sustainable solution to strengthen 448 joint locations of an existing building’s precast facade.
BC rods were utilised because they are:
- Non-corroding with very high strength
- Invisible once installed.
- No joints required
- Lightweight and can accept traffic on the strengthened surface
- Minimal surface preparation or levelling of uneven substrates required
